Merlin Loves his Cave!

Looks like Merlin got his Christmas present early!

Cat Cave Merlin

“Just opened up Merlin’s parcel and he wont get out !! He loves it čÖé
He only got out of his cave to eat and then snuggled up in it again :-):-)
Honestly, thank you so much for making them for me…you have made us all so happy x”

Cat Cave Merlin 2

It’s wonderful to have such happy customers. ┬áMany thanks to Merlin’s mum for sending these great pictures.

Merlin is a Birman – and doesn’t he make a stunning model for the Cat Cave. ┬áMy cats are too big for it. Monty once tried to coil himself snake-like in the Cat Cave, but only managed to roll himself upside-down and out again! How I wish I had that on film, it was priceless.

All for now,

Cat Cave with personalised label

I just finished a custom order for a Cat Cave and a 14 x 10 inch basket.

The customer’s name was Merlin so I made this special label for him. Too cute!

What a lucky cat Merlin is!

The Cat Cave in all its glory can be viewed on Not On The High Street, along with the cat baskets and other extreme knitting goodies.

I am also adding some cats and knitting-related fine art prints in the coming days!

Hope all your pre-Christmas plans are coming together,

Till next time,

Check out this lovely blog

My Giant Cable Knit blanket has been included in Anthea Willis’s blog, Forest Flower Designs.

It’s part of her feature on cable knits. Her blog is absolutely beautiful, so definitely worth a visit, even if it is on ‘the other side’!

Right now I am trying to type with Larry on my lap. He is really too big to fit there comfortably. I ought to contain him with an arm to stop him sliding off. But he manages to hang on, until he drifts off to sleep. Then I have to catch him before he falls.

A Bit Quiet on the Knitting Front

I’ve not done much knitting lately because I’ve been so busy setting up my new publishing business. ┬áI’ve only knitted a couple of giant wool baskets for online orders. One was unexpectedly returned to me yesterday, helpfully marked ‘RETURN – NO REASON GIVEN’. My customer has not complained nor has she replied to the message I sent her. ┬áThere seems to be nothing wrong with the parcel or its contents, so this remains a mystery. Gah!

Working from home is lovely. I am snug in my home office all day working on my ranges, spreadsheets and samples. My website is under construction by a lovely company who I am confident will do a good job. As soon as it is ready to go live, I’ll be able to really fly.

Here are my new co-workers, Monty and Herbie.

The new co-workers

The new co-workers

They are really cool! They don’t tell me all about what they did at the weekend, or steal the pens off my desk. But they also don’t make the tea or get the phone….
